Update - January 6th 2023 - New Menu!
Pong! - the (almost) first game » Devlog
January 6th 2023
Changes affect the Web and the Windows download version. Updated to version 1.1
In order to prepare for getting the 2 player network part going I had to overhaul the menu to a more 21st century era of menu browsing.
Main Menu
- Overhauled the main menu with buttons (can still use "ESCAPE" and "Backspace" key to go back to the beginning
Game Levels
- Changed the "restart" and "Quit" functions when winning a game. You now have buttons to choose from
Additional notes
- You can now launch on web mobile for "ZERO PLAYERS" only. I am still trying to figure out how to move the paddle in the web mobile version and make it more accessible
- Web mobile version needs to be played sideways
- Full screen icon at the lower right for Iphone will freeze the game currently. You will need to press back on your mobile web browser and choose "Restore Pong" to continue where the game left off
- Full screen will automatically kick in for Android (see below extra notes on browser testing and mobile versions)
Tested platforms
PC version
- Windows 2011
PC Web version
- Edge
- Google Chrome
- Firefox
Mobile Web version for Iphone (tested with Iphone 14 pro max & IOS 16.2)
- Safari
- Google Chrome
Mobile Web version for Android (tested with Samsung GalaxyS22 Ultra)
- Google Chrome (full screen automatically kicks in and rotates your phone sideways)
- Firefox (full screen automatically kicks in)
Stay tuned for more updates!

Love the retro soundtrack you added to the menus. I also see that you implemented my previous feedback as well :)
Good stuff, keep it up!
